Marlene Campbell Obituary

Marlene E. Campbell, 75, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025.  Marlene was born on October 13, 1949 to Gene and Delia (Van Groll) Lamers.  On January 24, 1970, she was united in marriage to Tom Campbell. Together, they raised three children, instilling in them the values of love, faith, and kindness. Marlene worked for 35 years at L.M. Becker and Company and later worked for her daughter at Heart of the Valley Travel. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and baking, playing games, and cherishing time with her grandchildren, family, and friends.

Marlene was a devoted member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church for over 35 years, serving as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector. She attended Mass weekly, and her faith was unwavering as she read prayers daily. Known for her infectious smile and the best hugs, Marlene’s warmth and generosity touched everyone who knew her.

Marlene is survived by her husband Tom, children; Christine (Ed) Jansen, Brian Campbell, Julie (Nathan) Stoffel, grandchildren; Eddie (Holly) Jansen, Felicia (Damon Loker) Jansen, Owen Campbell, Kylin Campbell, Tiffany Paalman, Cole Stoffel, Jake Stoffel, and Nora Stoffel, great grandchild; Haven Jansen, siblings; Mary Ann (Jerry) Weyenberg, Rich (Mary) Lamers, Doris Haen, Joyce (Gary) Allen, Ted (Janice) Lamers, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Jim (Deb) Campbell, Steve (Chris) Campbell, Joe (Cindy) Campbell, John (Joyce) Campbell, Mike (Shelly) Campbell, Karen (Rick) Hertel, Lynn (Bill) Hertel, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents and sibling, Gene and Delia (Van Groll) Lamers, Ronald Lamers (brother), Tom’s parents and sibling; Arthur and Alvina (Zahringer) Campbell, Ann Campbell (Sister-In-Law).

The funeral mass for Marlene will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, W2806 Cty Rd KK, Appleton. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Verkuilen Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna and on Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
