Mark D. Kaminski

Mark D. Kaminski, age 53, passed away unexpectedly on November 10, 2021. He was born on June 28, 1968, son of the late Daniel and Mary Ann (Balza) Kaminski. Mark married Lynn Van Groll on May 15, 1992 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Freedom.

Mark worked as an IT Engineer at Georgia Pacific for over 24 years. He also truly enjoyed helping out at his in-law’s farm. He was always willing to help anyone out in need. Mark and Lynn camped in Green Lake and he enjoyed golfing and playing cards, especially sheepshead and cribbage. Mark was a great “girl dad.” He would do anything for his daughters and loved them each dearly. His three daughters and his wife meant the world to him. And recently, becoming a grandpa was something that made him extremely proud. He was a true family man and will be missed beyond measure.

Mark is survived by his loving wife, Lynn Kaminski; daughters: Melissa (Thomas) Smith, Kayla (significant other, Caleb Varebrook) Kaminski and Amanda (significant other, Jacob Manthey-Lamon) Kaminski; precious grandchildren: Colton and Rylie Smith; siblings: Sheryl (Jerry) Kobishop, Kristine (Scott) Vrba and Paul Kaminski; father and mother-in-law, Jerry and Janice Van Groll; brothers and sisters-in-law: Barb (Dan) Abel, Dale (Bobbi) Van Groll, Wayne (Tracy) Van Groll, Lisa (Tom) Brown and Randy (Tanya) Van Groll; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Mary Ann Kaminski.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021, at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home FREEDOM LOCATION, N3972 Columbia Ave., Freedom, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday morning at Saint Nicholas Catholic Church, W2037 County Road S, Freedom, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11:00 a.m. Father Walter Stumpf will officiate.
