Mark Jeffrey Geiger
Freedom – Mark J. Geiger, age 59, passed away at his home unexpectedly on April 8, 2021. He was born on April 19, 1961, son of Kenneth and Constance (Steidl) Geiger. Mark married Sue Van Hoof at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Freedom on August 13, 1983.
Mark was a millwright at Thilmany’s in Kaukauna and had been employed there for 40 years. He enjoyed going to the races at WIR and Seymour and watching NASCAR. Mark was a proud member of the Freedom Fire Department for the last 26 years. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved to spoil each of them. He will be deeply missed.
Mark is survived by his wife, Sue Geiger; children: Kyle (Emily) Geiger, Travis (Kelsey) Geiger, Ashley (Steve) Miller and Amber (Robyn) Quella; grandchildren: Jackson, Cole and Carson Geiger; Madelyn, McKinley and Max Geiger; Josie Miller; and Charlotte and Baby Quella; numerous brothers, sisters and in-laws.
A public gathering will take place on Friday, April 23, 2021, at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home FREEDOM LOCATION, N3972 Columbia Ave. from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Due to Covid and the amount of friends, a private family service will take place at 7:00 p.m. and it will be livestreamed for all to view on the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home Facebook Page.
