Marilyn K. Foster, formerly of Indianhead Lake, passed away on October 10, 2023 after a brief illness.
Marilyn was born on July 14, 1936 in Lansing, and graduated from Sunfield (Mich.) High School in 1954. She worked for many years for the state of Michigan’s adoption services agency. Following retirement, she and her husband Dick, moved from their longtime home in the Grand Ledge area to their second home on Indianhead Lake in Montcalm County, where she enjoyed many years sewing, quilt making and sitting quietly on the porch watching the comings and goings of the lake’s wildlife.
In 2020, Marilyn and Dick moved to Kaukauna, Wisconsin to be nearer to their family.
Marilyn is survived by daughters: Debbie (Steve) Cerasoli of Kaukauna, Wisconsin, and Chris Bentley (Shawn Pedersen) of Appleton, Wisconsin; step-daughters: Debbie (Larry) Fox of Portland, Michigan, and Penny (Dick) Simington of Saranac, Michigan; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and by brothers: Bill (Sandy) Barratt, and Dave Barratt, both of Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Harriette (Binkley) Barratt; her husband of fifty-two years, Richard “Dick” Foster; son, Brian Fish; and sister, Cathy Bloomquist.
In keeping with Marilyn’s wishes, no funeral or memorial services are planned. Interment will be in Holy Cross Parish Cemetery in Kaukauna, Wisconsin.
