Marian C. (Biese) Gerrits

Marian C. Gerrits, 71 died peacefully on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.  Marian was born on October 27, 1950 in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Frank and Clara (Arnoldussen) Biese.  Marian married George Gerrits in 1971 and they enjoyed 32 years together.  Marian worked at Shopko in Kimberly for 27 years, becoming well known as “The Shopko Lady”.

Marian is survived by three daughters, Mary (Kevin) Tepp, Vicki (Jeff) Kerry, and Gwen (Frank) Papenfus, four grandchildren; Dale Kerry, Charlie Marquardt, Trent (special friend Brittany Boyer) Marquardt, and Greg Papenfus, four sisters; Maggie Coenen, Elaine Schmidt, Dorothy (Tim) Vande Wettering and Evelyn Verhasselt, three sisters-in-law Irene Biese, Nora Biese, and Barb (Richard) DeGroot, brothers-in-law; Urb (Gretchen) Gerrits, and Jerome "Mouse" (special friend Diane Muskovich) Gerrits, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Marian was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George, mother-in-law and father-in-law Selma and Urban Gerrits, two brothers; Leo and Bob Biese, a sister-in-law JoAnn (Lee)  Mueller, brothers-in-law; Ray Coenen, Robert Schmidt and Robert Verhasselt, and a granddaughter June Papenfus.

A memorial service for Marian will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at Verkuilen Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, 101 Canal St. Little Chute.  A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
