Maria A. (Boselie) Van Sambeek

Maria Antonette Van Sambeek, 89, passed away on November 3, 2025.  Maria was born on October 1, 1936 in The Netherlands to Henricus and Anna (Vanderscoot) Boselie.  On September 19, 1959 she was united in marriage to Tom Van Sambeek.  Maria was a very talented seamstress and wonderful cook.  Most of all she was a beloved wife, mom, grandma and great grandma.  Tom could be heard saying she was a looker and a cooker. 

Maria is survived by her husband Tom, children; Anita (Jim) Snortum, Pat (Mark) Nackers, Sue (Jeff) Vanden Hogen, Kate (Collyn) Eis, Lori (Johnny) Harke, and Tom (Brenda) Van Sambeek, grandchildren; Nicole, Brittany, Hayden (fiancée Kristy) Alicia (Tyler), Carissa (Scott), Nathan (Alissa), Kierstyn, Clayson, Kaden, Anthony, Emmalee, and Piper, great grandchildren; Cam, Ethan, Carson , Ana, Alayna, Harrison, Isla, Opal and River, her siblings; Antonette (Dick) Bavinck, Dutch (Sue) Boselie, Martin Boselie, JoAnn (Dennis) Wordell, and Henry (Noreen) Boselie, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Maria was preceded in death by her parents, two grandsons, Zach Snortum and Ashtyn Eis and a sister, Wilma Perry.

In keeping with Maria’s wishes a private family service was held at Holy Angels in Darboy.

A special Thank you to her granddaughter Alicia for her compassionate care. The family would also like to thank the staff at Aspire, especially mom’s favorites, Orry, Heidi, Lindsey, Nevaeh, Kayla, Gladys, Joyce and Ethan.  Also, Ally from Moments Hospice.
