Maria De Los Angeles Griesbach passed away at the age of 80 on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Of course Maria would “go out with a bang!” Maria was born on October 29, 1945 in Tampico, Mexico.  On June 13, 1964 she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Gerald Griesbach.  Maria’s top priority was raising her children while supporting her husband’s dream of starting their own business together.  She enjoyed reading, playing cards and many various community volunteering jobs including St. Mary Catholic Church and St. Paul Home in Kaukauna.  Maria enjoyed cooking from scratch, gardening and canning; her pickles always being one of everyone’s favorite.  Maria was very social person with many friends and loved any reason for hosting and to gather her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren, her siblings and friends.  She would get together with her friends weekly to either play cards, go shopping and her favorite, have lunch. 

Maria is survived by her children; Debbie Griesbach, Nancy (Mark) Stumpf, Randy (Isabelle) Griesbach, and Sandy VanHandel, grandchildren; Rachel Greiner, Melissa (Eric) Fischer, Desiree (Bryan) Sochacki, Bo (Ellen) Stumpf, Mason (Danah) Stumpf, Alayna (Jake) Verhagen, Lydia Stumpf, Josh (Nikki) Griesbach, Cayden (Charlane) Griesbach, Teaka (Nate) Pozolinski, Ilianah, Mia, Cristiano, Amaiah, and Mailynn Griesbach, Parker (Abby) VanHandel, Kyle VanHandel, and Vanessa VanHandel, 19 great grandchildren and counting, her sisters; Consuel Ramirez, Ruthie (David) Flater, brothers; Patricio (Pamela Perras) Ramirez, Roberto Ramirez, Rogelio (Pamela) Ramirez, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Maria was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a sister Eva Cisneros and a brother Victor Ramirez Jr. 

The funeral liturgy for Maria will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Katharine Drexel, St. Mary Church, 119 W. 7th St., Kaukauna.  A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Verkuilen Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at church.  For online condolences please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.
