Marcelline "Marcy" Anne (Kueter) Schmieder

Marcelline Anne “Marcy” Schmieder, 82, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023 surrounded by her family.  Marcy was born on February 24, 1941 to Ben and Viola (Ernst) Kueter in Bellevue, Iowa.  She was united in marriage to Donald Schmieder.  She worked as a customer service supervisor and retired from GTE after 30 years. Marcy and Don moved to Wisconsin to be closer to their grandchildren in 1997.  Marcy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, who were the greatest joy in her life.  She took great pride when attending their sporting events and school activities.  Marcy played piano and a mean game of cribbage. She would cook and bake her specialities and always had more than enough food for everyone. 

Marcy is survived by her husband Don, her son Don (Jen) Schmieder, grandchildren; Jacob (fiancée Anna) and McKenzie Schmieder, siblings; Carl (Diane) Kueter, Jeannette Booth, Dean (Cindy) Kueter, Barb (Bob) Zupancich, and Bev Kueter, Julie (Tony) Fondell, brother-in-law Greg (Diane) Harrison and sister-in-law Sheri Kueter, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Marcy was preceded in death by her parents, siblings; Kenneth Kueter, Evie (Mike) Mullen, Duane Kueter, Rosemarie Harrison, brother-in-law Bill Booth and a daughter-in-law Cyndi.

The memorial service for Marcy will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 411 Vandenbroek St., Little Chute.  A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.  For online condolences please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.  In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in Marcy’s name.
