Lucille M Wildenberg, age 93 passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, December 29, 2024. She was born on December 18, 1931 in Hollandtown, daughter of the late William and Mildred (Heiting) Penterman. On May 8, 1951 Lucille married Norman Wildenberg.
Lucille and Norman raised their family of seven children in Little Chute. Above all, she loved being a mom. She couldn’t always give us everything we wanted, but she always gave us what we needed. It was important to her that her children lived faith filled lives. She was so happy as her family expanded to include many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Even though she had a busy household, Lucille worked for St. Elizabeth Hospital in her younger years and then became a crossing guard in Little Chute for thirty years. She truly loved this job! She also volunteered her time and talents supporting any need that would arise at St. John Parish.
Lucille’s warmth, kindness and generosity touched the lives of everyone she knew. She would do whatever she could to help others. She spent her time praying for others daily. Mostly, she loved to pray for the well-being of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and Norman.
Lucille is survived by her husband Norman; her children: Linda (Joe) Ottman, Bill (Pat) Wildenberg, Conni (Dave) Schnuell, Joan (Bill) Boone, Paul (Stacie) Wildenberg, and Hank (Nancy) Wildenberg; her grandchildren: Phoenix, Mike (Danielle), Rachael, Sara (George), Mary (John), Travis (Sara), Julie (Patrick), Samantha, Zach (Shauna), Matt (Amber), Monica (Craig), Tim (Bonnie), Kyle, Olivia (Ethan), Rosanna (Mark), Juliet, and Alma; 42 great grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Rozella Buss. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Wildenberg; a grandson-in-law, Jim Mishefske; her brother, Leo (Sandy) Penterman; sister, Eileen (Casey) Danczyk; and her mother and father-in-law, Lester and Mathilda Wildenberg.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 411 Vandenbroek Street, Little Chute. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Jessica Peterson for all the excellent and compassionate care given to Mom over the years.
