On Tuesday, August 15, 2023, Louise R. Weyenberg was called to her heavenly home, on the Feast of the Assumption, where she passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Louise was born on March 23, 1938 to Jay and Josephine (Vermeersch) Brunner in Faribault, Minnesota. On November 7, 1959, she was united in marriage to her husband and life-long companion, Richard Weyenberg, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Kaukauna. Louise was strong-willed, caring and generous. She was an active member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church and hardly ever missed a Sunday Mass. Louise enjoyed cooking and baking, where she was especially known for serving her grandkids an over-abundance of pancakes, waffles, and turkey bacon at breakfast time. Louise was told she should sell her famous banana bread and baked loaves for loved ones often. She would always make chicken soup when anyone was sick and loved bringing her delicious green jello to any family gathering. Louise loved celebrating Christmas and giving perfectly wrapped gifts to her kids, grandkids, and great-grandchildren. She was a very proud grandmother (Grandma “Weezy”) and great grandmother and in her eyes, her grandkids could do no wrong. She spoiled them often and loved them so well. Louise was always the happiest when surrounded by her family and felt deep joy watching her family grow.
Louise is survived by her husband Richard “Dick” Weyenberg, two children; Pat (Sara) Weyenberg, and Kris (Mike) Bostedt, four grandchildren; John (Holly) Weyenberg, Kate (Blake) Bentley, Nick and Ryan Bostedt, two great grandchildren; Danny and Archie Weyenberg, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Sue Hagel, Marlene Brunner, Carol (Greg) Coenen, Janice Minten, Ray (Janice) Weyenberg, Dorothy Lamers, Bev Weyenberg, Charles Weyenberg, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her son Ken Weyenberg, three brothers; Jim Brunner, Carl (LaDonna) Brunner, and John Brunner, two sisters; MaryAnn (John) DeGroot and Lois O’Malley, brothers-in-law and sister-in-law; Gene Minten, Dan Lamers, Jim Weyenberg and Nancy Weyenberg.
