Linda B. Zuleger, 72, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025.
Born on July 29,1952, in Green Bay, WI, Linda was daughter to John and Elaine (Huss) Vanden Berg. She graduated from Freedom High School and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Education at UW-Oshkosh before becoming a teacher. She later went back to UW-Oshkosh and earned a Master's degree in Elementary Education. On May 3, 1975, she married the love of her life, David Zuleger.
Linda dedicated 38 years to her career as an earth science teacher in Green Bay, WI, where she inspired generations of students. In addition, she coached middle school track and field and synchronized swimming. A passionate supporter of youth athletics, Linda especially cherished watching her children and grandchildren compete in sport, especially track and field.

After retiring a decade ago, Linda and David moved to Townsend, WI, where they made their home on Surprise Lake. In this next chapter, Linda embraced the arts, becoming a beloved member of the Wabeno Area Players Theatre as both an actor and volunteer coordinator—a role she held dear. She also enjoyed kayaking with friends on the waterways and spending summer days swimming in the lake with her children and grandchildren, creating treasured memories.
Linda had passions for baking, sewing, reading, camping, and the outdoors. She shared her love of travel with David, culminating in a memorable final adventure to Antarctica this past February. She was especially known for her delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies, a favorite of those who knew her.
Faith was a guiding force in Linda’s life. She was a devoted member of both St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Freedom, WI and St. Mary’s of the Lake Catholic Church in Lakewood, WI. She served as a lector and participated in numerous parish and community activities in both Freedom and Townsend over the years.
