Leo M. Schiedermayer

Leo M. Schiedermayer, age 83, of Kaukauna passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, July 18, 2024 surrounded by his family.  He was born on May 1, 1941 in Appleton son of the late Max and Julia (Brux) Schiedermayer.  After high school, he proudly served in the U.S. Army.  He married Joann Van Ryzin on November 12, 1960.  Their marriage was blessed with three children and 63 years.  Leo was a Labor Foreman for Stebbins Engineering until his retirement in 1996.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, jigsaw puzzles, singing, and telling jokes.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Joann; his children: Scott (Karen) Schiedermayer, Appleton; Laurie (Carl) Schmidt, Kaukauna; Mark Schiedermayer, Little Rock, AR; grandchildren: Jason, Corbin, Kelly, Robbie, Tami, Dakota, Montana; great-grandchildren: Paislee, Peyton, Archer, Saydee, Adriana; his sister, Paula Smith; nephews, other relatives and friends.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon (Jack) Kunstman; parents-in-law: Bob and Margaret Van Ryzin; brothers-in-law: James Smith, Tom (Cris) Van Ryzin.

A memorial service to celebrate Leo’s life will be held privately with family and close friends.
