Lawrence “Larry” Weins, 77, of Freedom, peacefully entered his eternal life on Christmas Eve, with his family by his side.
Larry was born on August 12, 1947 in California, to the late Ralph and Eileen (Geurts) Weins. He was the oldest of 4 boys.
He met the love of his life, Jude, after moving to Wisconsin. They were married April 14th, 1971 and celebrated 53 years of marriage this year. Together they raised 2 daughters Angela and Kari. Larry worked at Miller Electric for 38 years until his retirement.
Larry enjoyed everything outdoors- he hunted, fished, golfed and worked in the garden. He and Jude loved spending time with family and friends.
Larry is survived by his wife Judith “Jude”, his daughters Angela (Kevin) Vosters and Kari (Craig) Haupt, 5 grandchildren; Luke, Ashlyn, and Lauren Vosters, Griffen and Lily Haupt, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Laurie (Mike) Bowers, Jim (Peggy) Reader, Gary (Kathy) Reader, and Diane Weins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws; Don and Marie Reader, his brothers; Dennis, Mark, and Michael Weins, and a brother-in-law and his wife, Don and Char Reader.
The funeral service for Larry will be held at 2 pm on Monday, January 6th, 2025 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, W2037 County Road S in Freedom. The visitation will take place from 12pm until the time of the service at the church.
