Larry Nemecek

Larry Nemecek, 72, passed away at home after a three year battle with his health surrounded by his wife and friends on June 4, 2022, three days shy of his 73rd birthday.  Larry was born on June 7, 1949, the son of Antone and Marie (Schlies) Nemecek.  Larry loved his wife Brenda, his family, his pets, his friends and most importantly he loved living his life “I did it My way”.  He had a passion for cooking.

Larry made many friends along the way, whether it was on the golf course in Punta Gorda, Florida or at Larry’s Bar and Grill in Combined Locks.  He held a special place in his heart for each and every one of them.

 Larry will be missed by his wife, Brenda, children; Debbie (David) Schisel, Dean (Kristin) Nemecek, David (Emily) Nemecek, and Dawn (Duane) Bushman, step children; Kristi (Brian) Swanson, Rick (Kari) Horneck, many grand children and great grandchildren especially Ella and Nick, his siblings; Arnie (Arlene), Tony, Richard, Alice and Kathy, a special friend Coyne Borree, his beloved pets; Beau Beau and Miles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  Larry was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Rosemary and a daughter-in-law Cassandra.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Nina and Lisa from St. Paul Hospice and our dear friends for all their compassion and love and support.

A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at Milltown Still and Grill, formerly known as Larry’s Bar and Grill, 101 Darboy Rd., Combined Locks on August 7, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00p.m.
