Kurt Abegglen Obituary

Kurt Allan Abegglen, a devoted family man, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2024, in Appleton, Wisconsin, at the age of 54. Born on August 21, 1970, in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, Kurt's memory will forever be cherished by his loved ones. Kurt's strong spirit, loving heart, and unwavering commitment to his family will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. An adoring husband, Kurt married his soulmate, Maria Bertran on April 2, 1999, in a ceremony held in Miami, Florida. Together, they created a beautiful life and shared countless precious memories over their 25 years of marriage. Kurt was blessed with six wonderful children. Anthony, Matthew, Jessica, Kyle, Kevin and Christian. He was a devoted father who poured his love and wisdom into their lives, guiding them throughout every aspect of life. Kurt's joy knew no bounds when his family expanded as he became a treasured grandfather to Willito. Family was at the center of Kurt's universe, and he always made time to be there for his loved ones. His natural ability to prioritize his family was evident in the countless hours he spent with his wife and children, creating lasting memories. They embarked on numerous adventures, traveling to breathtaking destinations such as Yellowstone, Vegas, Mississippi, and Miami. Kurt especially loved exploring the outdoors, appreciating the wonders of nature, including taking yearly camping trips with his family and taking memorable trips to the mountains. A man of faith, he found solace and inspiration worshiping at a local church called Christ The Rock. Kurt's passion for history was unmatched, and he enjoyed delving deep into its intricacies. Gaming was another shared pastime where Kurt connected with his children. Together, they traversed virtual worlds, fostering even deeper cherished bonds. As an individual who embraced knowledge and self-improvement, Kurt dedicated his career to the logistics and freight forwarding industry for almost three decades. His expertise and determination were admired by colleagues and valued by his employers. In his quieter moments, Kurt found peace at home watching countless movies and tv shows in the company of his loyal dog, Misty. Their companionship brought him comfort and joy throughout the years.

Kurt was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Paul Abegglen, his father, Allan Abegglen, his grandmothers Margaret Abegglen and Ethel Andrews, and his grandfathers, William Abegglen and Howard Andrews Sr. He now rests among them, leaving a legacy of love and fond memories.
