Kitty Maureen Jedwabny, age 78, of Appleton, went peacefully to walk with her best friend Jesus while surrounded by family on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 3:53 pm. Kitty was born on February 18, 1946, daughter of the late Clayton John “Sputs” and Kathleen Marie (Femal) McCabe.
Kitty danced her way into Rick Jedwabny’s arms, choosing to leave with Rick over the date with whom she arrived. This led to their marriage on August 19, 1967. They shared a beautiful life together. They had two sons, J.P. Jedwabny and Tyler Jedwabny. The love she had for her boys was unmatched.
Kitty attended Holy Cross grade school and graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1964. Kitty started her career in the medical field as an x-ray tech until deciding she no longer wanted to be part of families’ nightmares and, instead, be part of helping them realize their dream of home ownership. It was in real estate where she found her true passion. She was a powerhouse in the field and the many she mentored found her wisdom and counsel invaluable. Her first stint in Real Estate was with C-21 Temmer Realty and then went on to merge and become part owner with Bytof Realty which became Coldwell Banker, The Real Estate Group. At the end of her career, she enjoyed working for Acre Realty. She became heavily involved in the local RANW Board serving as President, and even becoming WRA State President, two roles she cherished as a woman in the industry. Kitty also was one of the first female builders in the valley partnering to start J&S Homes. Her special talent of always believing in people served her well as she was able to see agents’ hidden potential. She encouraged them to reach high. Her biggest goal was for everyone to be able to use real estate to provide an amazing life for their families and loved ones.
Her father passed on the gift of faith and love for Jesus. As a servant of the lord, she constantly passed along her “Keep The Faith” mantra. She knew God's plan was beautiful in the end. Her forever gift to all of us was a lesson from her dad…“Penny in a Pocket”. Start your day with a penny in one of your pockets. Move that penny to the other pocket when you’ve done a good deed for someone. Moving forward to honor Kitty, find the good in people and “Keep The Faith”.
Kitty's biggest gratitude to Jesus was her four grandchildren. She loved attending their basketball, baseball, and volleyball games, going to church with them, time at Legend Lake, hanging at the hunting cabin listening to all their hunting stories, and picking up weekly dilly bars for a little treat.
Kitty is survived by her loving husband, Rick Jedwabny; children J.P.
