Kenneth “Ken” Diedrick, 79, passed away at home with his wife by his side on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 after a hard fought battle with ALS. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Ken was born on April 12, 1942 to Lester and Loretta (Hendricks) Diedrick. After Loretta passed away he was blessed to have a wonderful step mother Virl Diedrick. On October 12, 1963 he was united in marriage to JoAnn VanVreede and together they raised three children. He was a veteran having served in the US Army Reserves. Ken retired from Mount Hope Machinery after over 40 years of service. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards and bowling. Most of all Ken loved watching his kids and grandkids compete in sporting events and supporting them in all their activities.
Ken is survived by his wife JoAnn, children; Ken (Ann) Diedrick, Teri Diedrick, Jill (Chris) Timm, grandchildren; Haley (Taylor) Solberg, Cory Diedrick, Megan Timm, and Ally Timm, a brother, Gordy (Dolores) Diedrich, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Dave (Darlene) VanVreede, Jack (Donna) VanVreede, Jeff VanVreede, Paul (Char) VanVreede, and Lee Pritzl, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, his step mom Virl, siblings; Pat (Gene) Wryo and Maggie Pritzl. Ken was a generous and incredibly kind man who will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
The memorial service for Ken will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 411 Vandenbroek St., Little Chute.
