Kelly Lynn (Dix) Fassbender

Kelly Lynn Fassbender, 34, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at St. Paul Elder Services in Kaukauna after a long, courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.  Kelly was born on January 15, 1986 to James Dix and Lori (Chadwick) Dix.  She graduated from Kaukauna High School in 2004, and went on to get her bachelors degree from Lakeland University. On September 18, 2010 she was united in marriage to Adam Fassbender, and on June 29, 2011 they welcomed their beautiful daughter Alera Rose into their family.   Kelly was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt who was compassionate and high spirited.  Kelly was driven and confident, she knew what she wanted and she was determined to get it.  She was the life of the party and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She especially liked being outdoors, playing soccer, and going up north. 

Kelly is survived by her husband Adam, daughter Alera, mom, Lori Dix (Bill), father James Dix (fiancée Valerie), a brother Kurt (Megan) Dix, nieces; Hallie and Shelby, mother-in-law Shari George (Rick Whitehead), father-in-law Bob (Linda) Fassbender, brother-in-law Connor Fassbender (special friend Hannah), grandparents; Richard Dix and Mary Fassbender, and many other relatives and friends.

Kelly was preceded in death by grandparents; Clayton and Virginia Chadwick, Carol Dix, Ken Fassbender and David and Margaret George, and a brother-in-law Phil Fassbender. 

The funeral service for Kelly will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 5:30 PM at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna.  A time of visitation will be held on Thursday from 3:00 until 5:00 PM at HOLY CROSS.  In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established for Alera.  The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to St. Paul Elder services for the care and compassion over the last years.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.verkuilen.com.
