Kaye Marie Eiting, 74, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024. Kaye was born on May 15, 1949, to Donald and Ruth (Heiman) Gerrits. On July 23, 1973, she was united in marriage to Tom Eiting.
Kaye took great pride in the appearance of her home and spent most of her time outdoors working in her flower beds, potting new plants for each season, and changing seasonal décor. She was very talented at crocheting, and many families have benefitted from the beautiful baby afghan blankets made with her loving hands. She also enjoyed reading and playing card games with her family.
Kaye did not travel far from home unless it was multiple trips up to Door County each year or on a casino run with family or friends. Her home away from home was the family cottage on Lake Winnebago, where she would spend almost every weekend from the time it was opened in spring until it was closed in the fall. She enjoyed the neighborhood and her surroundings. Every Sunday, after cleaning and packing the car to return home, Kaye and Tom would always sit down and enjoy one last look at the lake and setting sun.
Kaye always put everyone’s needs first, and she always cherished time spent with her family, especially her granddaughters. Kaye worked at Appleton Papers (Appvion) but gladly welcomed the opportunity to retire early knowing she could spend that time with her granddaughters.
Kaye is survived by her children, Michelle (Seth) Schneider and Mark (Andrea) Eiting, all residing in Kaukauna. Her granddaughters, Ella and Charlotte Cronin and Addison and Madelyn Eiting. Her siblings, Joyce Larson, Don (Peggy) Gerrits, Carla Bates, Jack (Terri) Gerrits, Pam (Jim) Rosin, Mitch Sultze, Cork Gerrits (Steve Klug), Lynn (Keith) Fiala, and Amy (Jay) Jansen, brothers- and sisters-in-law Julie (Jerry) Vondrachek, Sandy (John) Mayer, Terry (Dani) Eiting, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Kaye was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tom, sister Lori Sultze, mother- and father-in-law Edward and Charlotte Eiting, stepfather-in-law Orville Lehman, and brothers-in-law Dan Bates and Tim Eiting.
