Obituary
Karen J. Worden, age 68, of Little Chute passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Meadowbrook of Appleton. She was born on February 17, 1955 in Appleton, daughter of Art and Joanne (Lauer) Vandeyacht. Karen was raised in Combined Locks. On June 30, 1976 she married James K. Worden. Their marriage was blessed with one son, and 47 wonderful years. Karen enjoyed crocheting, reading, jigsaw puzzles, and time spent with Jim and her dog, Lucy.
She is survived by her husband, Jim; her son, Eric (girlfriend Terrie Johnson) Worden; her mother, Joanne Vandeyacht; siblings: Ann Betz, John Vandeyacht, Charlie Vandeyacht, Julie Vandeyacht, Steve Vandeyacht, Sue (Mike) Kelderman, Paul Vandeyacht. She was preceded in death by her father, Art Vandeyacht.
A Memorial Service for Karen will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Little Chute’s Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
