Karen L. Nolte, 85, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021. Karen was born on December 4, 1935. On January 13, 1958 she was united in marriage to William Nolte. Karen was a nurse, starting in Milwaukee County, then Appleton Medical Center and finally retiring from the Outagamie County Health Care Center. Collecting rocks with her husband and taking long country drives were things she enjoyed. Karen also enjoyed casino trips and going to antique stores. She always continued to help people with their medical issues whenever she could. Her family will greatly miss her off-beat, unconventional sense of humor.
Karen is survived by her children; Cheryl (Scot) Lange, Will (Petra) Nolte, Kristi (Chip) Frailing, a son-in-law Bob Hadley, grandchildren; Scotty (Carly) Lange, Samantha (special friend Ben Lehrmann) Lange, Lucas (Melissa) Nolte, Hannah (special friend Matt Arnoldussen) Nolte, great grandchildren; Gwendlyn and Graeme Nolte and Louie Lange, half brothers Jack (Jane) Jelinski and David (Joan) Jelinski, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Karen was preceded in death by her mother Magdeline Fredriksen, her husband, William, a daughter Patricia Hadley and a grand daughter Jordan.
In keeping with Karen’s wishes she will be laid to rest in the South New Hope Church Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.verkuilenfh.com. The family would like to thank Dr. Gene Rigstad, the staff at Brewster Village and the Hospice Team who took exceptional care of our mom.
