Karen (Six) Bruhn

Karen A. Bruhn, 75, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2024. Karen was born on December 19, 1948 to David and Marcella (Schermitzler) Six. On April 14, 1973 she was united in marriage to Dennis Bruhn. Karen worked for many years at the Aurora Medical Center in Kaukauna until her retirement. She enjoyed quilting and making porcelain dolls and their clothes. Karen also enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and bird watching. She liked to volunteer at St Paul Elder services and was a member of the Kaukauna Community Health Associates. Karen was an avid reader and spent a lot of her time at the Kaukauna Public Library. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and camping with the grandchildren was always a special time.

Karen is survived by her husband, Dennis, a son Kevin (Leigh Ann) Bruhn, grandchildren; Olivia and Mason Bruhn, a brother Al (Lynn) Six, sister Deb (Mike Premeau) Six, nephew Jim (Wayne Fronek) Six-Fronek, other relatives and friends. Karen was preceded in death by her parents and her mother-in-law and father-in-law Ramona and Russell Bruhn.

The funeral service for Karen will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. at the Verkuilen Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna.
