Passed away peacefully Thursday, June 13, 2024 at the age of 78. She was born in Kaukauna on November 1, 1945. Daughter of the late Omer and Cordell (Ver Voort) Bowers. She married Richard Vander Linden on February 17, 1968.
Julaine was a graduate of Kaukauna high school and attended UW Stevens Point. Rich and Julaine owned and operated their family farm for 25 years and she was a long-time employee of Kohls. She was very active in 4-H, the church, and liked playing cards. She was famously known for her baking abilities, especially her pies. Julaine enjoyed time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Julaine is survived by her husband of 56 years Richard; Children: Gary (Bonnie), Greg (Lynn), Mark (Sarah), and Dawn (Steve Ellenbecker). Grandchildren: Morgan (Lucas) Werner, Bryce (Caittlyn) Vander Linden, Zak, Kaylee Vander Linden, Eric (Alison) Bunnell, Nathan (Courtney) Bunnell, Veronica, Jassel, Jasder Vander Linden. Great Grandchildren: Charlie, Saxton, Averie, and one on the way. Siblings: Dennis (Claire) Bowers, Darrell (Micky) Bowers, Sister in-law: Nancy Bowers. Brothers and Sisters in-law: Mary (Dick) Rottier, Roger (Jeanne) Vander Linden, Rose Kramer and Ann Vander Linden and many nieces and nephews.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Brothers: De Lyle and Dean Bowers, Mother and Father-in-law: Frances and August Vander Linden, Brothers and sisters-in-law: Grace (Pete) Calaway, Don (Donna), Carl, Ken, Jerry (Sandy), Nobert (Sharon) Vander Linden, and Joe Kramer.
A funeral service for Julaine will be held on Monday, June 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Parish, W2037 County Rd S, Freedom, with Deacon Mark Farrell officiating. Family and friends may visit at church starting at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
