Judy Ann Griesbach passed away peacefully after a battle with dementia on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at the age of 80.
She was a 1962 graduate of St. John’s High School in Little Chute and went on to work as a secretary at Van Hoof & Van Hoof Law Firm and then as a paralegal at Remley Sensenbrenner until her retirement in 2006. She loved spending time with her children and “sissies” but had no greater love than her husband of 57 years, “Tanny. “ Judy enjoyed swimming, biking, dancing and going on long walks with friends. Her happiest times were spent with her grandchildren, playing board games, attending their sporting events and playing in the park. Judy turned heads whenever she walked into a room with her vivacious smile and bubbly personality. She had a large circle of friends and volunteered her time with numerous charities. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stan, who passed away January 2023, and her parents, Robert and Margaret Schmit. She is survived by her children, Bryan/Toni, Neenah, WI, Leah (Peterson)/David, Eau Claire, WI, and Andrea (Berger)/Jerome, Longmont, CO. She is further survived by her six grandchildren: Jarett Peterson, Conlan Berger, Shiloh Berger, Josh Peterson, Jasilyn Griesbach and Jayden Griesbach. She is also survived by siblings Sherry Coenen, Bob (Sandy) Schmit and Cathy (Tim) Miller.
Funeral services for Judy will be held at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 410 Wallace Street, Combined Locks, WI, 54113 on Saturday, January 27, 2024. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at church. For online condolences please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.
