Joyce Hein-Vissers

Joyce Hein-Vissers, age 95, of Little Chute, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, October 24, 2025. Throughout her life, Joyce maintained her unique, feisty personality loving nothing more than visits from family and friends or sitting in her recliner watching reruns of “Murder She Wrote" or putting together one of her many puzzles.

Joyce Margaret Walber was born May 2,1930 to Joseph and Mary Stransky-Walber. On May 6, 1950, she married Lyle Hein who preceded her in death on August 23, 1975. She then married Dennis Vissers on July 9, 1980 who passed away on March 9, 2011. 

Joyce is survived by four children: Dennis (Mary) Hein, Douglas Hein, Duane "Fred" Hein and Vicki (Kyle) Spainhoward; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind several in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Lyle Hein and Dennis Vissers, Six brothers Les, Emil, Donald, Clifford, Lloyd and Robert Walber and numerous other relatives.

A Funeral Service for Joyce will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 43 N. 3rd St., Hilbert, WI. Visitation will begin at the church at 9:00 a.m. and will continue until the time of the service. Joyce will be laid to rest in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Hilbert.
