Joshua John Ver Bockel, age 46, of Darboy, passed away on Monday October 3, 2022. Josh wanted to finish fighting the battle at home with his wife, daughters, and family, it truly was the place that the cancer couldn’t touch. Josh was born on August 16, 1976, son of Clarence and Judy (Huss) Ver Bockel. He was a 1994 graduate of Kimberly High School.
Josh’s love for his daughters Kylie, Aubrey and Emily was undeniable, they were always priority no matter what. He was always so proud to talk about the accomplishments and their bright futures. Josh loved spending time at the cottage with his family, where a few games of cribbage usually started and ended the day. Josh had a passion for golf, he loved being his father’s partner on the Monday league. Josh touched so many people. His personality was unbelievable and really did light up a room. Even though he knew so many people he always made sure to stop and take a moment to catch up. Through his last days he continued to bring a smile to everyone’s face, his sense of humor was undeniably one of the best, he sure had a way to make everyone feel important.
Josh is survived by his wife, Amy; children: Kylie, Aubrey, and Emily; father and mother Clarence and Judy Ver Bockel; siblings: Shane (Shelley), Heath, Mike, and Katie; mother-in-law, Kathleen Connell. He is further survived by his nieces and nephews, numerous aunts and uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Ali Ditter; a sister, Kathy McCall; grandparents: Peter and Katie Ver Bockel and Cyril and Marge Huss and several aunts and uncles.
