Joshua J. Lorenz, age 31, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 18, 2024, after a life-long battle with Diamond-Blackfan Anemia, a rare red blood cell anemia. He was born on November 28, 1992, son of Greg Lorenz and Lisa Lorenz. He graduated from Seymour High School with the class of 2012.
Josh loved his video games. They allowed him to meet friends from all over the world. He was also an animal lover, especially his beloved dogs and cats. Josh always had a mind for figuring things out and building projects. He was low-key, mellow and soft-spoken, but an extremely kind soul. He enjoyed spending time with family on the water and having a good time with friends. He was also a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church and a believer in Christ. Josh will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Josh is survived by his father, Greg Lorenz; mother, Lisa Lorenz; brother, Tyler (Courtney) Lorenz; paternal grandparents, Dennis and Sally Lorenz; girlfriend, Lily Lopez; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Josh was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Alice Lorenz.

Josh’s family would like to express a special thank you to a few doctors over his lifetime of treatments. To Dr. Stuart Adair and hematology staff for all of your care before retirement, to Dr. Jon Brandt and hematology staff for your care before Josh graduated out of Pediatric Hematology, and most recently Dr. Anthony Jaslowski and hematology staff. And another thank you to the staff at Froedtert Medical Center, especially the bone marrow transplant team and the ICU for your care and compassion these last few weeks.
