John Vosters, 64, passed away peacefully in his recliner on July 3, 2026.

John was born on November 21, 1961, in Appleton to Ernie and Jen Vosters. He graduated from Kimberly High School in 1980. After high school, John worked at the Kimberly Paper Mill.

As a child, John loved being outdoors, spending his days playing with family and friends.

John was a talented wrestler and helped his team earn the Conference Championship in 1980.

John was an avid hunter and fisherman who found peace in the outdoors. Some of his happiest moments were spent fishing in Canada, Shawano, and Lac Vieux Desert with family and friends; hunting on Howie's land; fishing at Tim's cottage; and hunting, four-wheeling, and camping in Amberg. Whether in the woods or on the water, John cherished the time he spent with the people he loved, creating memories and sharing stories that will be treasured for years to come.

Funny and caring are the words that best describe John. He was always willing to help anyone in any way he could.

John was the proud father of four children and grandfather of eleven grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He loved making them laugh and always had a joke or a witty remark to share, whether it was good or bad. His sense of humor and the joy he brought to those around him will be deeply missed.

John is survived by his four children, Nikki (Alan) Nowak, Amie (Tony) Kazik, Ben (Krissy) Vosters, and Kevin Vosters; his grandchildren, Michael, Haley, Taylor, and Claire Nowak; Stalone, Konrad, and Kylee Kazik; Wesley, Myles, and Lainey Vosters; and Summer Vosters. He is also survived by his siblings, Bob (Deb) Vosters, Don (Rita) Vosters, (Betsy) Vosters, Sue (Brian) VanVreede, Lorie (Mike) Timm, and Rose Vosters, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jim Vosters.

Friday, July 10, will be spent celebrating John's life with a visitation and casual gathering. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Verkuilen Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, N3972 Columbia Ave., Freedom, WI 54130. A celebration of life, including remembrance speeches and food, will follow at Buzz's. Please join us as we honor and remember him.
