John E. Stark

John E. Stark, 77, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024.  John was born on February 26, 1947 to Walter and Inez (Grishaber) Stark.  On May 10, 1969 he was united in marriage to Leone Alft at St. James Church in White Lake.  John worked at both Roloff Manufacturing and Piggly Wiggly in Kaukauna for over 30 years.  John liked to help people and stay busy.  For 10 years he volunteered at St Elizabeth Hospital, transporting and escorting patients and visitors within the hospital.  For many years, he would snow blow the driveways and sidewalks of his neighbors after doing his own.  He looked forward to his annual ice fishing trip to Minnesota every February, and loved playing cards, especially Cribbage and Sheepshead.  John also liked to travel and go out to breakfast with friends.

John is survived by his children Steve and wife Jolee and their son, Quinn, and Jason and wife Michelle and their children, Zayonna, Carlos, and Davis and his fiancée Janice Mueller.  He is also survived by siblings Tom (Mary) Stark, Bob (Marilyn) Stark, Seph (Toni) Stark and brothers-in-law; Paul Wysocky and Ted Wydeven, and sister-in-law Nell Stark, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lee, siblings JoAnn Wysocky, Mary Wydeven, Walter “Chip” Stark and Jerry Stark. 

The memorial service for John will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the Verkuilen Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna.  A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.  For online condolences please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.  In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in his name.
