Joan Subert,93, passed away on October 14, 2025. Joan was born on February 18,1932, to Peter and Marie Dollevoet. She was the oldest of four children. Joan lived in Kimberly her whole life and it is where she met her husband Joseph “Scoop” Subert. They married in June of 1950. He proceeded her in death on May 7, 2002.
Joan's greatest joy was raising her five children, watching her grandchildren grow, and being able to watch her great-grandchildren grow. Joan worked at Kimberly High School in the Commons and Library for 38 years. She was a member of the Kimberly Homemakers, coordinated card games at the Kimberly Senior Center, and attended many bus trips to the casinos. Joan took pride in teaching each grandchild how to play Blackjack, sometimes before they knew how to count. Joan also enjoyed playing cribbage and at times would allow us to win. Joan enjoyed traveling with her daughters including trips to New York and Las Vegas among other places.
Joan is survived by her Children; Thomas (Debra), Steven (June), Donna (Richard) Uitenbroek, Patti Subert, and Wendy (Tom) Ulrich, grandchildren; Dawn (Josh), David (Becca), Amanda, Nikki, Andrea (Steve), Tyler (Laura), Connor (Samantha), Melaina (Greg), Brooke (Chris), Allison, Brian, Alex, and Carter, great-grandchildren; Abraham, Joshua, Lexi, Fig, Gannan, her birthday buddy Violet, Justin, Marlon, Jackson, Zoe, Elowyn, Arthur, Rachel, Tim, Olivia, Abby, and Logan. Brothers Ron, Ken (Lori), and Gary (Joan), nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
Joan is proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Scoop, Grandchildren Brendan Uitenbroek and Mary Ulrich. She was also proceeded in death by in laws Shirley Dollevoet, George (Alice) Subert, and Shirley (Bob) Lettau.
The memorial service for Joan will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the Verkuilen van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna.
