Jo Hietpas, age 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by her closest loved ones on December 1, 2022. She was born on July 25, 1947, daughter of the late Clyde and Lois (Miller) Fleming. Jo married Mike Hietpas on March 29, 1969.
Jo was a dedicated employee at Van Hoof and Cornett Law Offices in Little Chute for many years. She always appreciated the simple things in her life. Spending time with her family was what she preferred most. When her grandchildren were born, they became priority. She enjoyed attending their many activities and was always there for her grandchildren. Jo’s love for her family was immense and she will be deeply missed.
Jo is survived by her husband of 53 years, Mike Hietpas; sons: Craig (Erin), Matt (Stacy) and Josh (Jen) Hietpas; grandchildren: Tyler, Megan and Maddie Hietpas, Reed, Emma and Riley Hietpas; brother, Tim (Janet) Fleming; brothers and sisters-in-law: Gary Mathis, Luke (Rosie) Hietpas, Clare (Lee) Van Boxtel, Sheila (Clyde) Schepp, Mark Hietpas, Tom (Sheila) Hietpas and Russ Harmon; many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Jo was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Jane Mathis; father and mother-in-law, John and Elizabeth Hietpas; brothers and sisters-in-law: Don (Dorothy) Hietpas, Joyce (Emmett) McMorrow, June (Bob) Stuyvenberg, Helen Harmon, Claude (Lois) Hietpas, John (Shirley) Hietpas, Margaret (Carl) Peeters, Matthew Hietpas, Evelyn “Molle” Hietpas and Linda Hietpas.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 411 Vandenbroek Street, Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Spierings Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
