Jerome Robert Kroll, age 89, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021. He was born on April 12, 1932, son of the late Lawrence and Irene (Kranhold) Kroll. Jerry married the love of his life, Bette (Feldkamp) Kroll on February 5, 1955. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, spending time in Tokyo, Japan where his loving wife was able to join him. Jerry was a Kaukauna high school graduate who started teaching social studies at Elcho and Kimberly and then in 1963 returned to his alma mater as a guidance counselor and eventually became guidance director. He served on many KHS committees including Art Linkletter Drug Prevention Program, Youth Services Counseling Program, coordinator of the Outstanding Student of the Month Award for Kiwanis, organizer and advisor to the Key Club and Rotary coordinator of the Student Exchange Program. Jerry was also President of the St. Aloysius school board, member of the finance committee and commentator. He volunteered at the Grignon Mansion and the Kaukauna Public Library. His recognitions include the prestigious Alumni Award in 1987, Kaukauna Athletic Hall of Fame, Jaycees Man of the Year and Kaukauna Business and Professional Women named him Boss of the Year. Jerry enjoyed golfing, fishing trips up north, traveling with friends, the Packers, Brewers, Badgers, Kaukauna sports and being the camp cook during hunting season. He was also an avid reader. Jerry was especially proud of being able to participate in the Veterans Honor Flight to Washington DC with his brother Don.
Jerry is survived by his children: Randy (Lynn) Kroll, Kaye Langer and Kellyn (Tim) Wilson; grandchildren: Hilary, Malea and Logan (Kristin); great granddaughter, Hadley; brother, Don (Joan) Kroll; sisters-in-law: Donna Rahn and Nola Feldkamp; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Bette Kroll; parents, Lawrence and Irene Kroll; son-in-law, Steve Langer; brothers-in-law: Robert Feldkamp, Paul Feldkamp and Orlan Rahn.
