Jean Pearl Lamers

Jean Pearl Lamers, Little Chute, age 85, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on April 10th, 2023. The Gates of Heaven opened, and the Lord welcomed a loving wife, nurturing & devoted mother of 5, caring & fun-loving grandma of 18, and great grandma of 37. Born on March 10, 1938, to Leora & Adrian Meidam.  On April 8, 1958, she married Paul, her High School sweetheart & soulmate at St. John Catholic Church. They recently celebrated 65 years of marriage.

She enjoyed doing volunteer work for the church. She always had a fun time going out for dinner & drinks with girlfriends. There was a special bond & a lot of shenanigans with her friends in the sheepshead card club, which lasted for over 60 years.  Mom & Dad enjoyed traveling, with friends, to Washington D.C. & many fun trips to Las Vegas. 

Her greatest joy in life was the love for her children, daughters-in-law & sons-in-law. Extra blessings were wonderful grandchildren & great-grandchildren, and time spent with them was cherished. Weekly visits from great-grandson, Ethan, were so special. She was truly grateful for the love her family brought to her life.  The Lord led Mom & Dad down the road of life, and what a ride it was! It was filled with laughter, love & many blessings.  A big thank you to Connie & Brian for the “Mom and Dad Penthouse Suite”.

Left to cherish the memories are her husband, Paul; their children, Carrie (Bill) Breager, Lance (Kelly) Lamers, Al (Tammy) Lamers, Connie (Brian) Dollevoet, and Kris (Shawn) Knudsen. Their grandchildren, Heather Hietpas, Mike (Erin) Hietpas; Cassie (Matt) Reynebeau, Ben Lamers, Jordan (Carly) Lamers; Stacey (Craig) Van Grinsven, Adam (Courtney) Lamers, Emily (Manny) Gandara, Haelee (Kyle) Romenesko, Mariah Rusch; Ellen (George) Bastien, Katie (Josh) Marnocha, Kelly (Jamie) Fassbender, Scott (Aubree) VanDynHoven, Derek (Kelsi) Dollevoet; Jamie (Scott) Romenesko, Ashlie (Nick) Frassetto, Jared (Erin) Knudsen.  Great-grandchildren, 37 and counting!

Surviving siblings; Joyce Gerow, Ron (Helen) Meidam, in-laws; Glen (Renee) Lamers, Les (Barb) Lamers, Greg (Carole) Lamers.

Predeceased by her parents, siblings; Marlene ‘Mimi’ (Leo) Driessen, Rocky (Butch) Meidam, Nancy (Dan) Lappen. In-laws; Kay (Jerry) Zoern, Peggy (Jim) Clark.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at St. John Nepomucene Church from 2:30pm-4:45pm. Mass will follow at 5:00pm with the Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen officiating. She will be laid to rest at St. John Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Jean’s name.
