Jean A Kappell

Combined Locks-Jean Ann Kappell, age 75, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 17,2024. She was born to the late Leonard and Eileen DeBriyn on August 12, 1948.

Jean’s family was her number one priority in life. Family gatherings and holidays were some of her most cherished moments. She enjoyed hosting get togethers where she was able to cook and bake for her loved ones as well as spoil them with gifts. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to the lake and absolutely loved being in the water. She also enjoyed listening to music and dancing. Jean was also a dedicated business woman employed as a retail sales manager and later operating her own cleaning business. On February 9, 2009, she married Allen Kappell and they shared 15 wonderful years together. Above all, Jean will be remembered for her kind and caring heart. She was the ultimate giver and would always help anyone in need never expecting anything in return.

Jean is survived by her husband, Allen; brother, William DeBriyn; daughters; Shanna (Michael) Jason and Sarah Micke (Jason); grandchildren; Tyler (Amanda) DeBriyn, Tanner (Lindsey) Jason, Tiffany (Andrew) Walkup, Dustin Van Asten, Tamara (Jake) Thorson, Logan Janssen, and Lauren Janssen; great grandchildren; Annalee, Brielle, Sloane, Eleanore, Cole, and one on the way, Alexander.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John DeBriyn and her great granddaughter, Oaklynn.

A Celebration of Life for Jean will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna.
