Jane Kramer Obituary

Jane A. Kramer, age 73, passed away surrounded by her loved ones at her son’s home after a brief battle against cancer on December 3, 2021. She was born on January 10, 1948, daughter of the late Lawrence and Valita (Guyette) Kappell.

Jane had a long career with the State of Wisconsin as an apprenticeship representative. She loved meeting new apprentices in all fields on her travels. Jane was an amazing gardener and tended carefully to her plants. She enjoyed her trips to the Casino and quilting with her sister. Jane loved going for walks and drives, to take in some of God’s beauty. Most of all, Jane loved her family. She would take the grandchildren to the Train Museum and of course take them out to eat at some of her favorite restaurants. Jane had a big heart and enjoyed putting smiles on the faces of her children, grandchildren and great granddaughter.

Jane is survived by her children: John (Kara) Kramer, Lori Van De Leygraaf and Stanley Kramer (Angie); grandchildren: Luke (Lauren) Kramer, Katie (Will) Dougherty, Erika Van De Leygraaf, Makenze Van De Leygraaf, Kyle Van De Leygraaf and James Van Rixel-Kramer; great granddaughter, Ainsley Kramer with another baby Kramer coming soon; siblings: Rae (Jim) Charles, Jim (Dawn) Kappell, Paul (Kristi) Kappell, Alyce (Tom) Buchinger and Anne (Thys) Coetzee; sister-in-law, Karen (Jon) Maas; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Valita Kappell; sister, Kay Bauer; brother, Tom Kappell; nephew, Russell Van Epern.
