James “Jim” “Mac” McCabe, 66, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at home. Jim was born on September 3, 1954 to Patrick and Helen (Femal) McCabe in Appleton. On January 29, 1982 he was united in marriage to Vicki Sedo in Appleton. He was a truck driver and he retired from Gene Frederickson Trucking. He enjoyed woodworking, remodeling projects, trout fishing and listening to music. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends and they created many wonderful memories.
Jim is survived by his wife Vicki McCabe, his daughters; Chloe (Mark) Woessner, Carly (David) Barber-Callaghan, a granddaughter Beatrix, four sisters; Cindy (Lyle) Lamers, Mary (Lee) VanderSanden, Colleen (Maureen Vorwald) McCabe, Nancy Van Handel, Vicki’s family, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law and mother-in-law; Howard and Edna Sedo, and a brother-in-law Bob Boehlen.
A memorial service for Jim will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 1:30 PM at the IMMANUEL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 510 Sullivan Ave., Kaukauna. A time of visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service at the church. Online condolences may be expressed at www.verkuilenfh.com. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in Jim’s name. The family would like to thank Rama Srinivasan , at St Elizabeth’s pharmacy and his oncology team at Ascension for all their care.
