James R. Graff, age 72, passed peacefully into eternal life on Saturday, March 7, 2020. James was born on December 31, 1947 to Casper and Frances (Peters) Graff. He graduated from Kewaskum High School in 1968 and was drafted into the United States Army. While in the Army James became a SGT- E5 and received a purple heart for his courageous efforts during the Vietnam War.
After returning from the Vietnam War James met the Love of his life, Ruth (Hug) and started his 42-year career at the West Bend Company. He was very proud to be a trustee for St. Anthony Parish, volunteer fireman, a softball coach and loved to organize high school football parent buses when his son’s were in high school. James was very fortunate to participate in the Honor Flight Program in 2016. He loved to spend time up north at the family cabin with Ruth. He also enjoyed the outdoors with his children and grandchildren.
James is survived by his wife of 45 years Ruth, children Jamie (Kelly), Mike (Lisa) grandchildren; Emma, Garett, Sophie, Caden, Gavin and Abby, and a sister; Rita (Steve) Sawyer.
He was preceded in death by his parents Casper and Frances Graff, Father and mother in law; John and Virginia, a sister; Ann Gundrum; and his brother, John.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020 at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, KAUKAUNA LOCATION, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services for James will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Resurrection Catholic Church, 215 Main St., Allenton with visitation directly at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
