Greg “Spanky/Cheese” Brittnacher passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 2, 2025.He was born on January 5, 1963 to Marion and Norbert Brittnacher. Greg grew up in Wrightstown on the family farm and graduated high school in 1981. He recently retired from Team Industries after 21 years of being a union pipefitter with Local 400. Greg married “the love of his life,” Darcy in May of 2015. Greg enjoyed camping, boating, hunting, riding his motorcycle, and he also had an immense love of lemon drops. Greg also loved traveling to warm places with Darcy, and together spending time with family and special friends.
Greg is survived by his loving wife, Darcy; siblings: Dennis (Jan) Brittnacher, Diane Lemerond, Jolie (Doc) Clark, and Mark (Connie) Brittnacher; step children: Travis (Stephanie) Diedrich, Tara (Travis) Schaefer, and Tyler (Brittany) Tennie; grandchildren: Alize, Brayden, Jaksen, Lillian, Madysen, Gage, Maci, Vada, and Luca; mother and father-in-law: Bob and Shirley Schroeder and Shirley Wolf; and his special four-legged friend, Tucker. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Marion and Norbert Brittnacher.
A Funeral Service for Greg will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna.
