Gordon G. Williamson

Gordon G. Williamson, age 58, passed away on May 12, 2022 as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident that occurred on May 3rd. He was born on October 19, 1963, son of Gordon and Joyce (Van Handel) Williamson. He married the love of his life, Sarah Lehman on November 8, 1991. Together they were an example of commitment and perseverance to their three children.  

Gordon started his career working with his father at Insurance Brokerage Services in Appleton and continued to operate the business with his brother Todd until 2018 when he started Tailored Insurance Professionals in Kaukauna. Gordon was dedicated to his work, both professionally and personally, and he displayed deep enthusiasm and drive in everything he did. Gordon was most proud of his children and lived life looking out for their best interest while providing countless experiences full of adventure and thrill. He loved being involved in activities with his children and volunteered to chaperone on many field trips and scouting activities. Along with being a wonderful father to his children, he was also a loving owner to his loyal companion, General. Together, they enjoyed many walks and covered many miles. Gordon was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, golfing and skiing. He was a man of many talents and was always willing to share his knowledge and advice with others. His brilliance allowed him to do anything he put his mind to, and he was always fixing something or working on projects. One of his greatest accomplishments was building his cottage, where he enjoyed spending much of his time engaging in outdoor activities with his family. 

Gordon was always the life of the party and could light up the room with laughter at any time.  His spontaneous and infectious personality impacted everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Gordon lived life to the fullest by letting his heart be his guide, and always expressed himself honestly. He was the greatest dad, husband, brother, uncle, friend and teacher, and he could not be thanked enough for all he has given and taught others in life. His passing has left a void in our lives, but we are fortunate to be able to cherish the memories and legacy he left behind.

Gordon is survived by his wife, Sarah Williamson; children: Morgan (special friend, Jon) Williamson, Parker (special friend, Lexi) Williamson and Gage Williamson; mother, Joyce Williamson; siblings: Debra Williamson, Jay (Diane) Williamson, Pamela Valk, Dawn (Pete Zemke) Hietpas and Todd (Leah) Williamson; brothers-in-law: Terry (Andrea) Lehman and Tim (Polly) Lehman; nieces and nephews: Haley Boehm, Daniel Williamson, Autumn, Skyler, and Pierce Valk, Charlie Reardon, Chad, Ryan, and Jordan Hietpas, Faith and Kendall Williamson, Rachel and Anna Lehman, Shelby Matthews, Chelsea Bentz, and many other relatives and friends. 

Gordon was preceded in death by his father, Gordon C. Williamson; father and mother-in-law: Jim and Sue Lehman; nephew and Godchild: Blake Williamson; loyal companion: General.   

Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home Kaukauna Location, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna.
