December 28, 1934 ~ August 6, 2023 (age 88) 88 Years Old

Obituary

Glenda E. Gigante, age 88, of Little Chute was welcomed into Heaven by her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at Country Villa Residence.  She was born on December 28, 1934 in Bruemmerville, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Glen and Bernice (Jerabek) Mauer.  She met Lloyd Landeau while singing in a night club, and married him on October 30, 1954 in Algoma.  Their marriage was blessed with seven children, and almost 49 years before Lloyd passed away on October 4, 2003.  Glenda then married Cosmo Gigante, who preceded her in death eight years later.  Glenda was very involved in her younger years, she was a cheerleader, a bandmember, and was crowned Miss Algoma when she was 17.  Before starting their family, Glenda worked at the Pentagon.  Glenda had a beautiful voice that she shared at churches, weddings, funerals, and anywhere she could sing.  She loved traveling and camping with her family.    She led bible studies, was involved with prison ministry, and encouraged young women.   Glenda was known as Grandma Honey Bunch, Grandma Hug a bunch, Grandma, or Glitzy Glenda.  She always wore a Bee pin, and her motto was “Bee all God wants you to bee, and you’ll bee happy.”  Her personality would light up a room.  She will be sadly missed by those she leaves behind.

She is survived by her children: Rick (Mary) Landeau, Jeff (Fiancee Diane) Landeau, Michelle (Bruce) Koehler, Lisa (Terry) Verbeten, Tracy (Joe) Krol, Mike (Kelly) Landeau, Lynn Propson; 16 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Beverly Landeau; special friend, Jan Doxtator.  In addition to both of her husbands, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Kevin Propson; grandchildren: Dylan Landeau, Rebecca Verbeten; brother-in-law, Doug Landeau.

The Memorial Service for Glenda will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at 4:00 P.M. at Fox Valley Church (1200 W. Kimberly Ave., Kimberly) with Rev. John Sitcler officiating.  Friends will be received directly at the church from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.

We would like to give a warm thank you to the loving staff at Country Villa, Little Chute; and the staff of Moments Hospice for your care and compassion.
