Geraldine B. "Gerry" Romenesko

Little Chute – Gerry Romenesko, age 81, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away on February 5, 2021. She was born on February 3, 1940, daughter of the late Charles and Adeline (Hartzheim) Wyngaard. On November 10, 1960, Gerry married Daniel (John) Romenesko at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. The love the two of them shared was truly remarkable. He preceded her in death in 2018.

Gerry was a great cook and did a lot of canning. She loved to garden in her back yard and every year planted countless flowers. She enjoyed attending to her gardens and her birdfeeders. Gerry and Dan never missed their children’s events and made most of the grandchildren’s as well. She also enjoyed attending the Mile of Music festival in Appleton. Gerry was a wonderful mother and grandmother and she will be dearly missed.

Gerry is survived by her children: Scott (Gretchen) Romenesko, Hilbert; Kim (Dave) Klund, Freedom; Laurie (Mike) Jansen, Overland Park, KS; and Curt Romenesko, Darboy; grandchildren: Carly and Haily (Michael Voight) Romenesko, Michael (Amy Bouchard), John (Melissa) and Jake (Taylor) Biesterveld, Ashley (Matt) Anderson, Davis and Darbi Klund, Chris (Tarah) Jansen, Brook (Drew) Hoy, Leah (Matt) Menting and Katrina (Theodore Van Thiel) Jansen; great grandchildren: Zoey, Riley and Kobe Biesterveld , Jerrod and Daniel Anderson, Carter Biesterveld, Colton, Maddox, and Weston Jansen, Lillian Cheatham, Greyson Menting, Blake Hoy and Cayden Jansen, and three more great grandchildren on the way; sisters: Phyllis Vandenberg and Jan Wockenfuss; in-laws: Cindy Wyngaard, Roseanne Romenesko, Bill Romenesko, Gary (Adele) Romenesko, Pat (Roger) Hermsen and Betty (Matt) Hupfer; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Gerry was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dan Romenesko; parents, Charles and Adeline Wyngaard; a brother, Dennis Wyngaard; in-laws: Tom Vandenberg, Maynard Romenesko, Wes (Aggie) Romenesko and Celine Romenesko.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2021, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the Mass. Covid precautions will be followed.
