Gerald L. “Jerry” Brandt, age 77, passed away at his home on February 5, 2026. He was born on December 22, 1948, son of the late Howard and Arlene (Klitzke) Brandt. Jerry married Ann Loderbauer and they shared 50 years together.
Jerry was a member of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. He then worked for 44 years at Thilmany Paper Mill in the digesters room. In his earlier years, Jerry enjoyed fishing and going on cruises with Ann. He loved NASCAR and never missed a Wednesday night edition of the Masked Singer. If those weren’t on, the Hallmark channel probably was. Jerry was a simple man of few words, but he will be missed dearly.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Ann Brandt; sons: Jeremy (Tracy) Brandt and Jonathan Brandt; siblings: Judy Dake and David (Missy) Brandt; sister-in-law, MaryAnn Loderbauer; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Arlene Brandt; sister, Char (Jim) Van Hout; brothers and sisters-in-law: Don Dake, John Loderbauer, George Loderbauer and Barbara (Tom) Vorpagel; father and mother-in-law, John and Esther (Gabrielson) Loderbauer.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna.
