George H. Kang

George Harold Kang age 76 of Little Chute, WI passed away on January 19, 2026 with his family by his side.

He was born on September 25,1949 in Escanaba, MI to the late Frank and Dorothy (Boudreau) Kang Sr. He made his home in Little Chute, WI where family was always at the center of his life.

He will be remembered as a devoted family man who was loyal, patient, and always willing to listen. He had a gift for cracking jokes and bringing laughter into everyday moments. George enjoyed watching football, casino runs, playing bingo, sneaking sweets, and spending time with the people he loved most. During the winter months, George and Ginny traveled to Arizona, where they volunteered their time and supported the mission through various projects. George always had an open door for family, friends, and anyone in need of a place to feel welcome. His unwavering presence, gentle humor, and support will be missed.

George is survived by his beloved wife, Virginia “Ginny”; his children: Chris (Trisha), Karalyn and David (Alison). Grandchildren: Jack, Maddy, Sam, Tristan, Georgia, Franki, Charlotte, Graham, and Everett. He is also survived by his siblings: Frank Jr., Mary (Russ), Linda (Leann), Peter (Jackie), Paul, Barbara, Marcella (Jeff), and Charles (Deanna); brother‑in‑law, Robert (Debbie) Butler; sisters‑in‑law: Sr. Barbara Jean Butler, Barbara (Bob) Tebear, Marcia (Pat) Verhamme, Patricia Abba, and Margaret (Michael) Dawson; along with many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, George was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, William and Mary Alice Butler; his siblings: Violet “Punky,” Thomas, Katherine “Prunie,” and William “Bill”; and his brother‑in‑law, Allen Nelson.

The Funeral Mass will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 411 Vandenbroek Steet, Little Chute, WI. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until the time of Mass. 

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in George’s name for St. Peter Indian Mission School, P.O. Box 10840, Bapchule, AZ 85121.
