Obituary
Fredric “Fritz” Seidl, Sr., age 89, of Appleton, went to be with the LORD on Friday, April 7, 2023. He was born June 6, 1933, to John & Mayme Seidl of Rockwood, WI. He spent his childhood working on the family farm with his 4 brothers. Upon graduating from Mishicot High School, he enlisted in the Army in 1953 & served in Germany at the end of the Korean War.
His family journey began in 1955 when he met his loving bride, Kathleen “Kathy” Radlinger. They married & began raising their 10 children (6 boys & 4 girls) in Manitowoc & eventually moved to Appleton. It was here Fritz continued building his family & hardworking legacy, opening Northside Automotive on Wisconsin Avenue in 1979.
Most often, you would find Fritz at the Shop, or tending to his beautiful gardens, or working on projects for family & the community. He also loved being with family & friends, traveling, playing golf, or just being outdoors. He served others in many ways, whether it was via the Care Ministry at St. Pauls or the Knights of Columbus or serving a meal at the Homeless Shelter.
Fritz is survived by his wife, Kathleen; sons: Jim (Maria) Seidl, Todd (Kim) Seidl, Fred, Jr (Connie) Seidl, Eric (Emilie) Seidl; daughters: Bonnie (John) Bauman, Anne (Patrick) Rutland, Dawn (David) Quait; Debbie Seidl; Daughter-in Law, Meredith Seidl; 15 grandchildren & 13 great grandchildren; brothers: John (Joan) Seidl, Dennis (Phyllis) Seidl, Aloyce (Judy) Seidl; sister-in-law, Joan Seidl; Along with loads of nieces & nephews, great nieces & great nephews, great great nieces & great great nephews who all loved him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his sons: Philip Seidl & Peter Seidl; parents, John & Mayme Seidl; brother, Ronald Seidl; and sister-in-laws, Grace Seim & Lorraine Konitzer.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 17, 2023, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 410 Wallace Street, Combined Locks, with Msgr. Jim Vanden Hogen officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
