Eugene "Gene" Nett Obituary

Eugene “Gene” Aloysius Nett, age 86 passed away on Sunday, January 12th, 2025 with his family by his side. He was born on January 11th, 1939 to the late Sylvester and Josephine (Franzen) Nett. He resided in the town of Woodville. He married Constance “Connie” Nettekoven on July 2nd 1960.

Gene was employed at Badger Northland Kaukauna, until their closure. He then worked at Miller St. Nazianz until his retirement.

Gene loved old Ford cars, his Ford tractor, playing pool, and being a member of the 2 Cylinder Club for many years. He loved going to the carnival and running the high strikers. He also enjoyed working in the yard and on projects in the garage. Most of all he loved spending his time with family, celebrating birthdays, Father’s Day, and other holidays with his loved ones.

We got to spend one last birthday with you, but you missed your beloved wife, Connie, who passed away just 2 months prior. We’re sure that Connie had a birthday cake waiting for you in heaven.

Gene is survived by his children; Eugene (Julie) Nett Jr., Victor Nett, and Ida (Dean) Diedrich, grandchildren; Alicia Diedrich (Colin Young), Derek (Jaycie) Diedrich, Grant, Hunter, Dakota (fiance Kyle Abegglen), and Alexis Nett.

He is further survived by his siblings; brothers, Sylvester, Ralph (Annette) Nett, sisters, Linda (Tom) Duesterhoeft, Judy (Joseph) Lillie, brother-in-laws, Ervin, Jim (Donna) Nettekoven, and sister-in-law Marilyn Nettekoven; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, James, Peter, Paul, step mother Zelda, Step sisters, Genevieve and Joanne; his mother and father in law, John and Anna Nettekoven, and many other beloved family and friends.
