Eugene Brick Obituary

Eugene “Gene” Brick, age 92, of Askeaton, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the home he was born in. 

He was born on November 6th, 1932, son of the late Thomas and Margaret (Hart) Brick.  On June 12th, 1962, Gene married Helen Rademacher at St Paul’s Parish in Wrightstown. 

Gene graduated from Wrightstown High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960. Upon returning home, he and Helen worked side by side to build a humble and fulfilling farm life while raising their five children.He proudly transitioned the family farm to his son Dan as a 5th generation farm. 

Gene cherished the simple pleasures in life and took great joy in following Wisconsin sports, especially the Green Bay Packers.

Gene is survived by his loving wife Helen; 5 children: Paula (Tony) Vosters, Brenda (friend Dan Diedrick), Cathy (Steve) Keeley, Jackie (Chris) Schneider, and Dan (Melanie) Brick. 

Grandchildren: Andy (Abby) Vosters, Eric Vosters, Brad (Emily) Vosters, Jacob (Samantha) Gilson, Chaka Gilson, Jessica Van Den Elsen, Tony (Catherine) Van Den Elsen, Evan (friend Rima) Keeley, Kendra (fiancé Shawn) Keeley, Lucas VanDeurzen, Spencer (Jada) VanDeurzen, Isaac (fiancé Carly) VanDeurzen, Mason Schneider, Sawyer Brick, Ian Brick & Eli Brick.   Great grandchildren: Lena & Theo Vosters.

He is further survived by his siblings: Kay Fischer, Bob (Karen) Brick, Peggy (Bill) Balzer. 

In Laws: Dolores Van Eperen, Marlene Fisher, Betty Rademacher

He was preceded in death by his parents, his mother & father in-law, Leo & Loretta Rademacher; his siblings Joanne (Ralph) Runnoe, Fr. Paul Brick, Terry (Lorraine) Brick.  His in-laws, Carl VanEperen, Ed Fischer, & Marvin Rademacher. 

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at St. Clare Parish-St. Patrick Askeaton Campus, 7815 St. Pat’s Church Road, Greenleaf. A rosary service will conclude the evening. Visitation will continue on Tuesday morning at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Liturgy at 11:00 a.m. Interment and full military honors will take place after the Mass at St. Patrick Cemetery.

A special thank you to Unity Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion shown to Gene and his family, and to Deacon Ken Kabat and Fr. Santy Turiano for their many comforting home visits.
