Elizabeth A. (Greenwood) Young

Elizabeth A. Young, age 68, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, July 13, 2025. She was born on March 31, 1957 to the late George and Kathleen Greenwood in Kaukauna.

Beth was a proud graduate of Kaukauna High School Class of 1975. She remained deeply connected to her classmates throughout her life, not only attending every reunion but playing a key role in organizing and planning these special events. On September 25, 1987, Beth married the love of her life, Donald Young Jr. Together, they built a life full of love and laughter. Beth had an incredible work ethic that was admired by all who knew her. She approached life with determination, grace, and strength-even during its most challenging moments. Beth loved traveling to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where she found peace and joy in the sun and sand. A lover of warm weather and the beach, Beth also enjoyed golfing. She was a social butterfly who thrived in the company of others. More than anything, Beth cherished her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother always supporting her children and grandchildren in their many endeavors.

Beth will be remembered for her incredible strength, her generous heart, and yes, a touch of stubbornness that made her all the more endearing. She gave selflessly to those around her and left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Beth is survived by her loving husband, Don; children: Tracy (Eric) Christopherson, Fritz (Amy) Van Straten, Emily (Jonathan) Schuh, Donald III (Kristen) Young, Abby Young, Ashly Young, and Jonathon (significant other Felicia) Young; grandchildren: Chloe, Keegan (Christian), Drake, Isiah, Payten, Kayden, Kiarra, Noah, Khyler, Tristen, Xander, Andres, Roman, Arianna, Donovan, Lucius, Kayo, Kylie, Noah B., Carson, and Presley; great grandchildren: Ella and Atticus; siblings: Mary (Dave) Van Wychen, George “Bud” (Carmen) Greenwood, Chris (JoAnn) Greenwood, Pat (Gretchen) Greenwood, Paul (Kim) Greenwood, and Susan (Joel) Powers; brother-in-law, Rodney (Denise) Young; and sisters-in-law: Becky (Kelli) Young, Carmi (Brian) Hall, and Jackie (Darrell) Hansen. Beth is further survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and her best friend, Diane Thomson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Steven Greenwood and Michael Greenwood; in-laws: Donald and Evelyn Young; and her grandchild, Donald Young IV.

A Funeral Mass for Beth will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 119 W. 7th St., Kaukauna, WI. Visitation will begin at the church at 9:00 a.m. and will continue until the time of the Mass. For online condolences, please visit www.verkuilenfh.com.
