Eleanor G. Uitenbroek

Eleanor G. Uitenbroek, age 85, of Little Chute, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Saturday, February 22, 2020.  Eleanor was born on November 4, 1934 in Little Chute, daughter of the late Stephen and Clara (Coenen) Diedrick.  She married Joseph Uitenbroek on September 17, 1957, at St. John Catholic Church in Little Chute.  Eleanor was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and was involved in crocheting prayer shawls, the Befriender ministry and helping at funeral lunches.  She also volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul. She was a dedicated wife and mother.  She treasured her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She loved Jesus and time spent with family, frequently filling her home with over 50 family members.

Eleanor is survived by her husband of 62 years, Joe; her children: Luke (Michelle), Ann (Dick) Kussow, Mark (Renee), Carl (Cheryl), Bruce (Lori), Kay (Bryan) Van Rossum, Doris (Steve) Lamers, Joe (Tracy) and Amy (Mike) Hendricks; her grandchildren: Jeremy, Justin, Emily, Luke and Vanessa Uitenbroek; Kevin (Tanya), Jeff (Sarah), and Jeanette Kussow; Gregory, Erin, Christine, and Joseph Uitenbroek; Jason and Leah Uitenbroek; Crystal (Andy) Boylan, Cody (Emma) and Charlie Van Rossum; Steven, Jonathon (Sarah), Maria and Andrew Lamers; Alexis and Ben Uitenbroek; Carlie, Mason, Carissa and Isaac Hendricks; and four precious great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her siblings; Margaret (Larry) Artz, Sr. Marian Diedrick, Rose Ebben, Imelda (Marv) Hietpas, Rita (Jerry) Hietpas, Bob (Judy) Diedrick and Jerome (Pat) Diedrick; her in-laws; Irene Uitenbroek, Ruth Uitenbroek, Jerome (Lynn) Uitenbroek,  Clifford Uitenbroek, and Donna Uitenbroek; many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her son, Jim, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joe and Mary Uitenbroek, her in-laws, John Ebben, Denis, Claude, Donald (Lorraine), Joann, Paul, and Mark (Janice) Uitenbroek. 

Funeral services for Eleanor will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2020, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S Pine St, Little Chute with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating.  Visitation will be held on Thursday AT THE CHURCH from 2:00 until 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service concluding the evening.  Visitation will continue at the church on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.  Burial will be at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery, Wrightstown.  For online condolences, please visit www.verkuilen.com.
