Elaine Anderson Obituary

Elaine M. Anderson, age 69, of Appleton, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus surrounded by her loving family on July 14, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on July 4, 1949, daughter of the late Charles and Mildred (Dabil) Blodgett. On April 6, 1968, she married John Anderson at the Wesleyan Church in Appleton, and together they recently celebrated 50 years of marriage.

 

Elaine loved watching sports, especially the Milwaukee Brewers. She enjoyed music, singing and playing the piano. She was devoted to her family and hardly missed any of her grandchildren’s events. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and a devoted Christian worshipping at Appleton Alliance Church every Sunday.

 

Elaine is survived by her husband, John Anderson; children: Eric (special friend, Christine Jordan and son Elijah Nichols) Anderson, Kerrie (Steve) Gonnering, Greg (Michelle) Anderson, Tim (Andrea) Anderson and Sara (Jody) Meulemans; grandchildren: Mackenzie, Isaac, Sawyer and Drew Gonnering, Ryan and Kyle Anderson, Clayte, Garrett and Addie Anderson, Chloe, Grant, Ella and Saylor Meulemans; a sister, Shirley (David) Huycke; brothers and sisters-in-law: Shirley, Charlotte (Glen), Brad (Candy), Lois (Lew), Donna, Ken, Ron (Nancy), Bill (Linda), Sonia and Bonnie (Rick); many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mildred Blodgett; father and mother-in-law, John and Doris Anderson; brothers-in-law: Bobby Anderson and Bob Cadarian.

 

A celebration of life will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Appleton Alliance Church, 2693 Grand Chute Blvd, Appleton. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. A lunch will be served following service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
