Our loving mother, Eileen (VandenHeuvel) Northway, age 98, was received into the arms of Jesus on September 7, 2023. She was born on April 3, 1925, in Little Chute, daughter of the late Martin and Gertrude (Hartjes) VandenHeuvel.
Eileen was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute where she volunteered at the Mission Club. Eileen loved spending time with her family and friends, and playing Bingo on Monday nights.
Eileen is survived by her six children: Linda (Dave) Bongers, Thomas (Tracy), Roger (Gail), Marvin, Donald (Deb), Mike (Vicki); 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; her siblings: Bob VandenHeuvel, Jim (Kay) VandenHeuvel, Vincent (Betty) VandenHeuvel, Owen (Jean) VandenHeuvel and Dianne (Clete) Nelessen; sisters-in-law: Molly VandenHeuvel and Theresa VandenHeuvel.
Eileen was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Allison Northway; her twin brother, Ivol VandenHeuvel; her sister, Rita (Dick) Worden; brother, Austin VandenHeuvel; sisters-in-law; Anna May VandenHeuvel, Hazel VandenHeuvel, Francis VandenHeuvel; and her parents, Martin and Gertrude VandenHeuvel.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 411 Vandenbroek Street, Little Chute, With Fr. Ron Belitz officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. For online condolences, please visit www.verkuilen.com.
